BOD | Board of Directors |

cache or clearing your cache | removing copies of webpages, images, and media that are saved for faster viewing |
cafe or Freecycle cafe | a place where Freecycle members can chat about all things Freecycle, offer up local resources and make new friends of a similar mindset; keeping our landfills free of usable items and building a worldwide movement of sharing |
cookies | files stored on your computer by websites to save preferences |

EF | Ersatzfriend is commonly used as a neutral backup CO-owner on Freecycle lists. |
EULA | Short for End-User License Agreement, the type of license used for most software. An EULA is a legal contract between the manufacturer and/or the author and the end user of an application. |

FC | FC - Freecycle - "Our mission is to build a worldwide gifting movement that reduces waste, saves precious resources & eases the burden on our landfills while enabling our members to benefit from the strength of a larger community." |
FIOD | Tech Discussion Group/FIOD - Freecycle Indie / On-site Discussion group |

GO | Group Owner (Also Lead Moderator) |
GOA | Group Outreach & Assistance is there to help and support members and group mods who have problems they need to resolve. Overlap? The GOA volunteer figures it out with the local mods. Abandoned group? Sales offer being allowed? Member unable to contact the group mods? The GOA team member has the authority and experience to be the final arbiter of any and every issue out there. |

HUB | The global leadership team consisting of the Info Team Coordinator, the Group Outreach and Assistance Coordinator, the Member Resource Assistance Coordinator, the New Group Approval Coordinator, the UK Director, the Hub Coordinator and the Executive Director. |
I
Interim | in between, transitional, or temporary. |
IMOD | Interim Moderator is just what the name implies. This team takes over orphaned and abandoned groups, and manages parallel groups until a local moderator can be found and trained. ( More information) |

LM | Lead Moderator (of a Freecycle group) |

NGA | The New Group Approver has the authority to help potential new groups get their ducks in a row and to either approve or deny their request for a new group. These fine people help avoid overlap with existing groups and make sure that the new group moderators are on the right path |

PPU | Pending Pickup (not recommended, but frequently used by members) |

Reseller | Occasionally list members will reply to offers or post wanteds for items they do not intend to use personally. Whether they resell or redistribute the item, for their own profit or not, these members are termed resellers for purposes of this list. |

Trading (for Brits) | This is a confusing rule for us Brits because the Americans mean something different when they say trading. They tend to mean swapping. In fact, members who are traders (i.e. sell items away from Freecycle) CAN be members and they CAN even get items with the intention of selling them on, although some groups choose to prohibit this. Intention to resell must be disclosed up front. |
